About this event
Auspicing is becoming more common as communities need to quickly mobilise to respond to natural disasters. Whether or not you’re dealing with an emergency, auspicing can be a way for community groups to access funding, insurance and other resources to achieve a project without incorporating or getting deductible gift recipient (DGR) status - but it's important to understand the legal implications and responsibilities of all the parties.
Whether you’re thinking about entering an auspicing arrangement with another group or wanting to make sure you’re getting the most out of your current auspicing relationship, this webinar is for you.
Here's what participants thought:
- “It was a great introduction to auspicing agreements!”
- “I feel more confident in preparing and managing auspicing agreements”
- “The presenter brought legal terms right down to layman terms for everyone to understand.”
- “The information provided was very thorough and presented in a logical way.”
We'll cover:
- What auspicing is, and when to consider it
- What does an auspicing agreement look like
- Pros and cons for the auspicor and auspicee
- Key considerations for both parties of an auspicing arrangement
- What to do if things go wrong
- Top tips and additional resources for the future
