Creating Positive Auspicing Relationships

About this training session

Auspicing can be a great way for community organisations to trial a new project, hold a one-off event, or access funding or insurance. But it's important to understand all the legal implications.

This training for Victorian men's sheds and neighbourhood houses gives you a quick and comprehensive overview of how auspicing works and what you need to know to be confident that your auspicing arrangement will work to benefit everyone. We look at auspicing from the point of view of both auspicor and auspicee, so that everyone understands their role and responsibilities and what to expect from others involved.

You'll learn about:

• What does an auspicing agreement look like?
• Pros and cons for the auspicor and auspicee
• Key considerations for both parties of an auspicing arrangement 
• What to do if things go wrong

• 2-hours of practical, plain language training from a lawyer delivered online via Zoom
