Meet Kaela

Kaela was admitted to legal practice in 2010 and prior to joining Justice Connect worked at a commercial firm, Minter Ellison. During her time in corporate practice, Kaela was exposed to a variety of areas of law including employment, workers’ compensation, commercial and regulatory and insurance and corporate risk.

Kaela joined the Not-for-profit Law team in July 2015. Since that time, she has worked in multiple roles across the team delivering training, developing legal information resources and providing advice to not-for-profit organisations across Australia on a wide range of legal issues.

Kaela has been an active volunteer, most recently as a director of Free to Feed (2019 – 2021), a not-for-profit social enterprise that empowers refugees, people seeking asylum and new migrants and encourages inclusive communities, through the delivery of shared food experiences.
