The legal issues that affect the not-for-profit sector are unique and often complex - and many community organisations rely heavily on volunteers, have limited resources, and cannot afford to pay for legal advice.
In 2008, we set up PilchConnect as a program of PILCH (now Justice Connect) because we recognised the need for not-for-profit community organisations to have access to free and low-cost legal help that tailored to their particular needs.
Since 2008, PilchConnect has continually expanded, offering free and low cost legal information, training, phone advice and referrals to specialist pro bono lawyers at member law firms.
The Not-for-profit Law team looks forward to continuing to work with community organisations that assist the vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community.
