About this event
Not-for-profits often work together – it’s a strength of our sector. Having a memorandum of understanding (MOU) is a great way of establishing the framework for your collaboration and expressing common goals or a shared vision. A well-drafted MOU can reduce the risk of misunderstandings and mistakes, help get everyone on the same page and give you confidence in your collaboration.
This webinar is an interactive how-to guide for drafting an effective MOU. You’ll come away more confident in how to use our handy MOU template or draft your own.
We’ll cover:
- What is an MOU?
- When to use an MOU, and when not to.
- Is an MOU legally binding?
- What your MOU should cover, including a guide to key common clauses.
You'll receive:
- Opportunity to ask questions of the presenter
- 75 minutes of plain-language training from a lawyer
- Copy of webinar recording (available for 3 months) and slide presentation
- Information on further resources and support
Who should attend:
Staff, committee members and volunteers of not-for-profits who are considering drafting or revising an MOU.
