About this training session

It's everyone in an organisation's responsibility to understand privacy and data laws.

We'll walk you through the personal information lifecycle: from collection of data, through to use and disclosure, storage and access, and finally complaints and the data breach notification laws.

You'll learn about:

• How to legally collect, use, and store personal information
• Documents and systems you need in place
• Rights to access personal information
• Handling a privacy complaint or data breach

Who runs the session?

Your training will be run by one of our lawyers, who all specialise in charity and not-for-profit law.

 

How is this session delivered?

Our 3-hour sessions can be delivered online or in-person (subject to availability). Each session is an in-depth, interactive exploration of the topics outlined above, with small breakout sessions for participants to workshop legal issues, discuss scenarios, and problem-solve as a group.
