Registered charities have obligations to report to the national charities regulators, the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

Registered charities also have record-keeping requirements.

The interaction between the requirements to report to the ACNC and requirements to report to other regulators like state-based regulators (Consumer Affairs Victoria, or the Office of Fair Trading NSW) can be confusing.

Our two new fact sheets set out the obligations of charities, and explain the interactions with other reporting obligations.

You can access the new charity reporting resource on our Charity Reporting page

You can access the record-keeping resources on our Documents and Records page
