Justice Connect’s Not-for-Profit Law service is coming to Ross House for the day to help you. Justice Connect is a specialist community legal service – we understand because we are a not-for-profit ourselves!

Come and hear about key legal tips for not-for-profit groups (free information session) and/or speak to a lawyer one-on-one for further information. We have a range of services that can help, including over the phone if you can’t stay for an appointment.

Free Legal Information Session - 9.45am to 11am

This information session will focus on 5 key legal issues for community organisations:

  1. Governance - rules/constitution, legal duties & financial management
  2. Managing volunteers & employees - HR issues
  3. Safety - liability, risk and insurance
  4. Communications – social media, websites, newsletters and disclaimers
  5. Working with other community organisations - key agreements like memorandums of understanding, auspicing, funding and licencing agreements

We're also offering free 30 minute appointments to speak with a lawyer one-on-one for further information any of these topics.
